Author’s Note
Dear Reader,
Please note that this series of novellas is for readers looking for something quick to read. A story that will raise your desire with every page you turn. Tales of Dominant men looking and finding their sub for their ultimate HEA. That’s what these stories are about—that search to commitment and then a time jump to their HEA. If you’re looking for a deep, involved plot with a complete story, this series is not for you and you might want to check out my other full-length books. If you like hot, steamy, sexy short stories that take you on a wild ride into a world of sensual fantasy, then by all means . . . enjoy!
No Option, Book 1. When you are desperate for survival, you make decisions you normally never would. Something Diana Summers learned very quickly.
Diana is in a fix. Having lost her job in a company merger, she was down on luck and on her last bucks. When an unconventional job offer comes her way, she keels over. Because, let’s face it, she has no other options.
Kade, John and Brad are billionaire CEO’s shopping for their next submissive. Diana is a front-runner, provided she submits to their whims during a series of tests to determine her potential. It’s easier said than done.
They want to take her three-ways.
At the same time.
Most of the time.
What’s a girl gotta do, when three gorgeous hunks want to lay her bare and have their wicked way with her luscious body, in every way possible?
Poor Diana. Here, have some wine.
In Done For, Book 2, Shona Nicole, one of Diana Summers’ best friends, found herself in a precarious position. One, she had no idea how to get herself out of.
Shona Nicole is a firebrand. She’s gorgeous, tenacious, self-assured and doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body. Or so she thought. Until, she met Mitch Cooper and his best friends, Jason White and Sam Elliot, for dinner . . . and dinner at a restaurant will never be the same.
Mitch is a puppeteer extraordinaire. He's in control . . . and twists her body and emotions—like a pretzel.
When Shona unwittingly gets caught in the trio billionaires’ strings, it’s time to play with their nubile puppet. Shona will be helpless in their arms - played like a marionette, until she is done for. Oh boy . . .
Is Shona ready?
Because her life is about to be upended in a way she never expected.
Ah Shona! Where’s the wine?
For This, Book 3, Sassy Chloe Walker decided to go on a trip to Tucson to visit her two besties, Diana and Shona. A decision that tumbled her entire world upside down.
It all started with the wine.
Chloe was bored. Ever since Diana and Shona got hitched and moved to cow-country, Chloe has been in a limbo. As a successful designer, her career was on the rise. But her personal life needed a serious makeover. That shouldn’t have been reason enough, for Chloe to chug down questionable quantity of wine and wake up in a stranger’s bed . . . er . . . naked.
Things just escalated from there.
Rex was a man on a mission. He’d had his sights set on the delectable Ms. Walker. And now that she was within his grasp, he had no intention of letting her slip away. Along with his best friends, Wade & Mark, Rex starts weaving a web of emotions around Chloe; compelling her to surrender her body and mind to the insanely hot trio.
Chloe was caught. She took the plunge into the unknown and never came up for air. They possessed her. Inside and out. But when the past collides with present, will Chloe persevere?
Chloe better watch out, as the sexy trio is about to school her in the matters of body . . . and soul.
She’ll probably need a lot more wine. For this.
I trust you enjoyed this short novella series of these three besties. I certainly enjoyed writing them.
Enjoy and as always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support.
Kind regards
Linzi Basset
Chapter One
“Ooh, geez!”
Chloe grabbed her head as she sat up.
“Well done, Chloe Walker. Way to go, getting roaring drunk,” she whispered through parched lips.
The last time she’d drunk, as much as she had the night before, had been at college. She never drank more than a glass or two of wine when she went out. Overindulgence, in the past ten years, only happened when she and her two besties got together and wiped out a couple of bottles together.
“Yeah. If Diana and Shona had been there, they would’ve stopped me.”
A grunt next to her, on the bed, froze every cell in her body. She opened her fingers to peek through them, only to encounter a room that wasn’t hers. It was stylish and luxurious, but it was definitely not her bedroom in her little beach house!
Fuck! Where am I? And who the hell is . . . oh, heelllooo!
Her hands fell away from her face. Her eyes wandered over the naked body. One every woman would drool over.
Damn and the sheet didn’t cover t
he good parts!
The man was a muscle palace and in the early morning light shining through the window, she could see he was an outdoorsy type. His skin was tanned; probably spent a lot of time in the sun. His shoulders were insanely wide and bulged with well-defined muscles. His back moved up and down as he breathed evenly and her eyes tracked down further.
Holy smokes. Look at that butt! Mmmmm. Man, he looks good enough to lick . . . or bite . . . yumm.
Her fingers itched to trace the perfect Fibonacci curve of his delicious ass, but she suppressed the desire. It wouldn’t do to wake him. His face was turned away from her so she had no idea what he looked like. She racked her brain but couldn’t remember much of the previous night. Least of all, how she ended up in bed with such a hunk.
She moved her body but didn’t feel the usual twinge of a morning after sex. Well, at least I didn’t do the naughty in my wine-induced sleep.
With her eyes on him, she slowly swung her legs to the floor and got up. She groaned when she realized she was stark naked.
Way to go, Chloe. This just keeps getting better and better.
Luckily it was one of those thick mattresses that didn’t move when one person did and she managed to leave the bed without waking him. She froze when his legs moved and he turned on his side. She glanced up. Oh, my. Her breath got stuck in her throat as she got her first look at his face. He was gorgeous, a little rough around the edges but mouthwatering, nonetheless. She swallowed and forced herself to leave the bed. Then the frantic search for her clothes began. After an exasperating five minutes, she gave up. There was not a single piece of her clothing anywhere in the room.
She peeked through the door to find a wide hallway. Her red satin thong and bra were on the floor, at a small distance from each other. She picked them up and followed the trail of various pieces of clothing to a posh den with floor length windows looking out over the ocean.
“Oh my god, Chloe. Just what did you do last night? Fuck, what did I miss? I can’t even remember fucking that gorgeous piece of candy in the room.” She whispered to herself as she quickly dressed.
With a final regretful glance toward the bedroom, she left quietly. She was too embarrassed about her lack of memory to even wonder who the stranger in the bed was. All she wanted to do was to leave before she had to encounter him again.
“The penthouse? Wow, impressive,” she murmured when she stepped through the front door to encounter a private elevator in the luxurious hallway outside the apartment.
She felt rather conspicuous in her sexy, little red dress, when she encountered the concierge right across the elevator when she arrived at the lobby of the building.
“Good morning, miss. I trust you had a pleasant evening with Mr. Anderson? Is he bringing his car around to the front?” The portly man asked with a friendly smile.
Chloe could feel her face heat up. “Ehm . . . no, I need to call a cab,” she breathed out in a rush.
“Oh, no need. Let me take care of that for you. Mr. Anderson has an arrangement with a private company.”
Chloe’s face was beet red. She wasn’t sure if it was from embarrassment or anger. Although why she would be angry at a certain Mr. Anderson for regularly indulging in this kind of playtime, she had no idea.
“Please, no, I’ll just call a cab myself.” But the dense man was already speaking to someone on the phone.
“There. They’ll be here in five minutes. Lovely day, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, it is indeed,” she agreed as she gazed out toward the ocean. Chloe hadn’t adapted very well to being alone in San Francisco after Diana and Shona got hitched and moved to Tucson.
The three of them had been friends for as long as she could remember and used to do everything together. She missed the closeness she had with them; the special girl’s night—just to chat and be silly. Especially when one of them had a date.
Fuck! I won’t even have anyone to share this with.
Chloe sighed. It was no use denying it. She was lonely. She had other friends, but they weren’t Diana and Shona. It just wasn’t the same and she could never share that kind of rapport with anyone else. They were like the Power Puff Girls. Without them, Chloe had been floundering around like an autumn leaf in the wind.
The ride home took quite a while. The penthouse was in San Mateo and her house was in Westlake. She frowned. She couldn’t have gone all the way out there to a bar, so how did she end up in his apartment?
Half Moon Bay! Yes, I went with Amy and Sheila to the Half Moon Bay resort party.
Chloe groaned as part of the evening came crawling back into her memory. She definitely didn’t have too much to drink but she’d had nothing to eat, which explains why it hit her so hard.
Amy and Sheila should’ve stopped her. She wracked her head and felt her cheeks heat up as she recalled how she’d met the gorgeous Mr. Anderson.
“Do you know that guy, Chloe?” Amy asked.
Chloe dragged her enamored gaze away from the stunning man who had been openly looking at her.
“No, but I sure as hell won’t mind him kicking off his shoes under my bed.”
“At a guess, he must be having the same thoughts. He’s been watching you since he arrived at the bar. It’s almost like he’s daring you to approach him,” Sheila offered.
“Well, then, it’ll be bad manners to ignore such an invitation, don’t you think?” Chloe lilted, slightly tipsy. She hadn’t touched liquor for months and that first Tequila shot had gone straight to her head. Following it up with two glasses of wine hadn’t been very clever.
“I don’t think that’s such a good idea, Chloe. You’re not completely sober,” Amy finally realized that she was unstable on her feet. Chloe usually didn’t get high and was a clever drinker, but tonight she got sloshed almost from the first tot.
“Just a friendly chat. What’s the danger in that?” Chloe waved away their concern and trotted over to the man at the bar. His eyes glinted the closer she got.
“Do we know each other?” she asked and slinked onto the barstool next to him.
“I know of you,” he said in a deep baritone that caused her womanly bits to tingle excitedly.
“Hmm, that’s scary. How exactly do you know of me when I know I’ve never set eyes on you?”
“Let’s just say through a mutual friend.” He brushed his finger over her cheek, leaving a trail of heat that shot directly to her loins.
Chloe tried to understand the unexpected reaction. Her mind swirled at the instant chemistry that sizzled between them. She’d never experienced anything like it.
“And you being here, right at this moment, is pure coincidence?” Chloe tried to find some reasoning in her liquor induced mind.
“I wouldn’t exactly call it a coincidence. I made sure you were invited to this event. I’m very glad you decided to come.”
He leaned closer and with deliberate intent, closed his hand behind her nape and covered the last few inches that separated them. His lips captured hers.
Chloe gasped at the sheer pleasure that rippled down her spine. His lips were soft but firm as he moved them back and forth over hers, catching her gasp in his mouth even as his tongue surged past her lips.
He didn’t just kiss her. He devoured her. Every swipe of his tongue demanded her response. She gave it eagerly and with an explosive passion foreign to her.
“Let’s get out of here,” he whispered against her lips. “I have a place in San Mateo, not too far from here.”
“You’re a fast mover, aren’t you?” Chloe managed to say. She was still trying to recover from the panties-destroying kiss.
“Life is short. I know that more than most. I want you, my lovely and from your response to me, you want me too.”
“Yeah, but don’t confuse lust with anything else.”
“Lust will only be the beginning for us. What do you say? Are you brave enough to give into your desires?”
“Oh, bravery has nothing to do with this, my dear man.”
/>
She stared at him, willing the haze in her mind to clear up so she could think straight, but her throbbing loins and tingling clit were too distracting.
Damn, he’s just too scrumptious to deny.
“Very well. I’ll go say goodbye to my friends, you hold on to this and be sure not to lose it. You never know when you might need it again,” she said, handing one of her business cards to him.
Chloe groaned aloud. She remembered the drive in his sports car had been thrilling. She’d followed him up to the penthouse, filled with excitement for a night filled with debauchery.
Only I passed out. Damn it to hell! The most gorgeous man I’d met in years and I’d been too drunk to enjoy him.
But Chloe was glad, on the other hand. Indulging in sex with a stranger―a one-night stand―had never been her style. She made sure she knew the men she slept with. However far and in between that might be.
“Ah well, it matters not. I’m definitely not going to contact him to apologize and I’ll never see him again,” she mumbled as the luxury SUV stopped in front of her house.
“How much do I owe you?” Chloe was relieved to see that she at least still had some cash on her.
“Oh no, miss. Mr. Anderson has a standing arrangement with us.”
“I insist,” she all but snarled at the man. There was no way she wanted to be beholden to this Mr. Anderson.
“I will lose my job if I accept payment from you. Surely you don’t want that on your conscience?”
Chloe glared at him, testing his tolerance, but he didn’t budge. “I guess that’s it then. Thank you.”
She slammed the door and returned his jaunty wave. The phone was ringing when she stepped into the house.
“Yes? This is Chloe.”
“Hey, girl! How are you?” It was Diana.
“Hi, Chloe,” Shona echoed Diana’s greeting―as usual; they were on the speaker phone.
“How did you know I needed to talk?” Chloe asked, trying to keep her voice even and tears at bay. She missed them so much.
“We miss you, dumb ass. And besides, something told me we needed to phone you. What’s up, honey?” Diana asked gently.
